Short note here: This mixing program works on PCs and Macs. If you read my earlier posts than you would know by now that I have a macbook and a laptop (with windows running on it). Well, lets dig down on it! I will start off with the bad points first…
The Bad Points
- When I bought the very first version, it was still a little buggy and had issues running properly when the computer´s cpu was stressed out more than usual. It hung up a few times but it luckily never crashed on me… I hope you know what that would have meant…. ALL THE HARD WORK GONE if I didn´t save it regulary. Trust me, this can happen easily if you are so attached to producing quality sounds that you simply forget the time
But ever since the latest version has been released, which is DubTurbo Version 1.5, I never had those problems again! - When you take a first glance at the interface of the program you can easily feel overwhelmed about all the functions presented infront of your eyes… almost like when a caveman sees the inside of a car or something! Be sure to read the quick start guide first and suck up the tutorials before continuing…
- Highly Addictive – well, I dont know if this is a bad point but you can literally waste all day mixing songs and not feeling the hours pass by like nothing

The Good Points
- Like I said before, if you have no experience at all, you can still produce awesome songs in a matter of minutes after going through the tutorials, which explain precisley what you need to do- quite straight forward and idiot proof if you ask me!
- Once you get the hang of it, you can even sell your self-produced music online! Don´t get overexcited here – we are not talking about millions here ! But still, it shows there is potential there – making extra pocket money with this can be really easily if you get into it
- I was so impressed with Dub Turbo that I recommended it to one of my friends to see what use he could make of it and guess what… the next day he sends me his self-created beats and my chin fell to the floor because of how good they were! He had absolutely no idea of making music (although he enjoyed listening to it day and night). We later sold them for a couple of euros.
- You can easily draw and trigger different sounds with the keyboard shortcuts
- You can export songs it in CD quality and save the original file as well so that you can edit it later
- The beat machine here is just plain SICK. Everybody knows that this is the “Make it or Break it” component for any hip hop production procedure
- The 4 Octave Keyboard is really “something guys”- I personally had to go through a lot of frustration when buying other beat making softwares, which had those tiny, mini- keyboards! And they really sucked!
